The 63-year-old musician - who has a personal fortune estimated to be worth 120 million pounds and has won 7 Grammy awards - insists 3 failed marriages and the absence of his 5 children led to a period of heavy drinking and soul searching.
He told the media, that his retirement process started in 2004 when his son Matthew was born, but added that you have to have a reason to get up, and that right now, he does not really feel the urge to record.
His doctor said that he can stop the Paradise hit-maker drink, but that he cannot give him a reason to get up in the morning.
