Prosecutor In Michael Jackson's Child Molestation Trial Dies
The California prosecutor who twice tried and failed to convict Michael Jackson on child molestation charges has died at the age of 73.
He, who served as the District Attorney of Santa Barbara County for over 25 years, lost his battle with cancer on Saturday.
He first attempted to try the King of Pop in the mid-1990s, when Evan Chandler accused the superstar of molesting his 13-year-old son Jordan over the course of several months in 1992 - allegations Jackson vehemently denied.
The singer pleaded not guilty to counts including molesting a minor and intoxicating a minor in order to molest him and after five months, he was acquitted on all charges.
