A protest was held this morning at the Bandarawela town demanding to stop the Uma Oya Project.

This was by an organization named ‘People’s Collective against the Unsuccessful Uma Oya Project’.

Public points out that a shortage of water has been caused in Badulla and Bandarawela as a result of the project.
