Opposition Leader Nimal Siripala De Silva stated that if the SLFP is to emerge victorious at a future election, everyone should get rid of the Prime Minister dream.

The Opposition Leader expressed these views at a media briefing convened today at the Opposition Leader’s Office to express views regarding several timely political topics.

He denied certain newspaper reports which had misquoted him over matters relating to executive powers and constitutional amendments.

Opposition Leader Nimal Siripala De Silva also stated that reducing powers of the executive Presidency and bringing in electoral reforms should both happen simultaneously.

The Opposition Leader also stated that a postponement of an election was not necessary.
