Members of Parliament will take up for debate the Draft Bill of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution when Parliament meets this morning.

Minister Piyasena Gamage stated that the debate will commence around 9.30 in the morning.

The Minister further stated that the SLFP has decided to vote in favor to pass the draft bill.

He also stated that the central committee and the executive council have given the nod.

Meanwhile, deputy Minister Eran Wickramarathna states that the UNP too will vote in favor to pass the 19th amendment draft bill.

Speaking to our news team deputy Minister stated that it is the responsibility of all to pass the amendment.

Meanwhile, the JVP , Sri lanka Muslim Congress and the TNA have expressed their support to pass the 19th amendment draft bill.
