Environment Secretary Nihal Rupasinghe stated that there were issues with regard to resettlement which had been carried out in the Wilpaththu North sanctuary and Kallaaru forest.

Hiru CIA on several occasions revealed the destruction caused to the forests due to resettlement carried out by certain groups.

Environment Secretary Nihal Rupasinghe stated that there were concerns on the data used to allocate lands.
