The former minister of Coconut Development Jagath Pushpakumara appeared at the Special Presidential Commission of Inquiry on Mass Fraud and Corruption today to give a statement with regard to misappropriation of over five million rupees.

Our correspondent said that the former minister was accompanied by his wife and three former officials of the Coconut Development Board.

Jagath Pushpakumara was defeated in the last General Election but he was appointed recently, by the president, as Director of the Uva Province Special Projects.
