Speaker of the House Karu Jayasuriya says he will seek police assistance over a threatening phone call he received earlier this week.

Speaker Karu Jayasuriya addressing the house yesterday said his security officials have also been notified of the matter.

Speaker of House Karu Jayasuriya on Wednesday informed the parliament that he was threatened over the phone pertaining to the incident of 51 joint opposition MPs calling to be deemed as an independent group.
