Sri Lanka's Marxist party, Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) Information Secretary has expressed his discontent about the progress in the investigations into the allegations against former LTTE leader Kumaran Pathmanathan alias KP.
JVP MP Herath through his lawyers, submitted to the Court of Appeals today that he is discontent with the government's investigation in to allegations against KP when the Court heard the petition filed by the JVP against LTTE's international leader yesterday (30th).
Court of Appeal Judge Preethy Padman Surasena on May 9 directed the petitioner to decide whether he wished to continue the proceedings or terminate, given that the Attorney General had initiated investigations against KP.
The Attorney General had earlier this year furnished to the Court the progress reports on the investigation into KP's alleged involvement in the LTTE activities.
Following the submission by Herath, the court fixed the petition for support on July 25. The travel ban on KP was extended till July 26.
