Police have arrested a woman in Monaragala who had 100 packets of heroin in her possession.
The suspect was arrested while she was transporting the drugs by bus from Colombo to her residential area in Welewatta, Monaragala last night.
Police also said that five members of her family have already been in remand in connection with drug smuggling charges.
Monaragala police said that investigations have already been initiated in search for the individuals responsible for supplying the heroin.
