Protest+March+Begins+from+Utuwankanda+Today

Today is day 2 of the protest march organised by the Joint Opposition headed by former President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

On day one the protest march ended at Ganetanna in Mawanaella.

The march is scheduled to reach Colombo on the 1st of August.

due to a court order obtained by the police, the march that was originally to end in Maawanella yesterday, ended in Gane-tenna instead.

Joint opposition MP Ranjith Soysa said that todays protest march is due to begin from Uthuwankanda in Mawanella.

Meanwhile both supporting and opposing politicians expressed varying views about the protest march yesterday.
