President Maithripala Sirisena stated that the country’s future relies on the proper management of resources available in the Central Hills.

The president expressed these views addressing a ceremony held in Thalawakele today to mark 150 years of the country’s tea industry and to appreciate 92 years of service of the Thalawakele Tea Research Institute.

The president stated that he will strictly focus on the health issues prevailing in the Central Hills and described an experience he faced in the following manner.

President Maithripala Sirisena furthermore stated that the government will soon take measures to propose a solution regarding offering permanent appointments to the employees of the Talawakale Tea Research Institute.
