The CID has arrested another member of the army, in connection with the assault on journalist Keith Noeyer.
A Police media spokesman stated that the individual attached to the army intelligence unit was arrested, as a result of information gathered in connection to the incident.
The 34-year old corporal from Minuwangoda will be produced before Mt. Lavinia Magistrate today.
Keith Noeyer, a deputy editor of the “Nation” newspaper, was abducted and assaulted on May 22 in 2008.
Five army personnel including an army major have been arrested and remanded until March 30th in connection to the assault.
Keith Noeyer is currently living abroad.
Several scheduled identification parades failed in the past in the absence of journalist.
