UPFA+General+Secretary+says+Fonseka+has+not+been+given+the+responsibility+to+command+forces

UPFA general Secretary Minister Mahinda Amaraweera says that Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka has not been vest eesponsibility in his new position to command security forces.

 He was speaking at a media conference held at the ministry this morning.

However, joint Cabinet Minister Rajitha Senarathna stated during the media conference yesterday that the Cabinet made a proposal to offer such a position to Field Marshal Fonseka.

The minister said that the new position has been introduced to settle existing issues in collaboration with the defence sectors including tri forces.
