Labour Minister W.D.J. Senevirathna said that the President has no intention to use security forces to suppress trade union actions.

Minister Senevirathna was speaking at a media conference held at the SLFP headquarters today.

The minister categorically rejected the recent statement made by joint cabinet spokesman Rajitha Senarathna.
