The Government Finance Committee has decided in future not to approve supplementary estimates which are to be presented in parliament for purchasing vehicles for MPs and Ministers.

Committee Chairman MP M. A. Sumanthiran told our news team that the Speaker had been informed about this.

Similarly the MP said that it had also been proposed that a report comprising information about vehicles MPs and Ministers currently use be submitted to the finance committee.
