Disaster Management Centre has announced 3 contact numbers for the public to inform them regarding any disaster situation prevailed due to bad weather condition.

Accordingly, a 24 hours hot line has been introduced by the DMC as, 0112 136 226,0112 136 136 and 077 395 79 00 tob inform regarding disaster situations.

Meanwhile, spill gates of Laxapana, Canyon and Wimalasurendra reservoirs have been opened due to heavy rains, according to Hiru regional reporter.

Colombo District Secretary, Sunil Kannangara has announced that the people living nearby river Kelani in Colombo and Gampaha districts have to stay on alert due to the risk of the river getting spilled.
