Chief minister of the Northern province C.V Vigneswaran says that if the affidavit against him will be withdrawn, the issues that have arisen in the Northern Provincial council could be solved.

Meanwhile, Northern Provincial Council chief minister C.V Vigneswaren engaged in discussions with Tamil National Alliance MP’s S. Sri dharan and Charles Nirmalanaadan yesterday.

During the discussions the MPs noted that discussions will be held regarding the issue at hand with the opposition leader R. Sambandan and Ilangai Thamil Arusu Kachchi leader Mawei Senadhiraaja.

Meanwhile, a group of provincial councillors representing the Ilangai Thamil Arusu Kachchi party who gave in the affidavit against the chief minister, convened a media briefing in Jaffna today.

They noted that discussions are underway to appoint a new chief minister for the north.
