The Sri Lanka Survey Department says that the country’s land area has changed due to development projects been carried out at present.

Surveyor General P N P Udayakantha stated that Sri Lanka’s land area which formerly stood at 65,610 Square Kilometres will increase by about 2 more Square Kilometres.
