Daily activities at  government hospitals throughout the island were disrupted today as a consequence of the wildcat strike launched by GMOA members this morning.

Our correspondents stated that OPD services and daily clinics were completely crippled in all main hospitals islandwide.

However emergency wards and the treatment of flu patients were not impacted by the strike.

Children and women hospitals as well as cancer hospitals were also not impacted .

The GMOA launched the strike in protest of the police attack on IUSF students who forced their way into ministry of health yesterday.

The strike has affected services at all other general hospitals, teaching hospitals, base hospitals, and regional hospitals.
