The united postal trade union front is scheduled to launch an uninterrupted strike beginning Tuesdaymidnight in protest against there being no resolution for administrative problems, and the handing over of historically significant postal offices, for a hotel project.

Earlier this month on the 12th, postal employees had launched a 48 hours strike, over these same issues.

However the united postal trade union front convener Chintaka Bandara stated that the Government had not, till now, provided a solution to their problems.

Minister of Post, postal services and Muslim Affairs M. H. A Haleem told our news team that he has requested that the united postal trade union front give him two weeks to resolve these problems.
