50 more containers carrying sugar stored at the Colombo Port have been sealed.
Police stated that courts permission has been obtained to open the containers.
A Senior Police Officer stated that all these containers have been imported from Brazil.
More attention has been drawn towards these containers following the recent discovery of a cocaine haul worth nearly 3.2 Billion Rupees.
Meanwhile, investigations in to the racket of importing and re-exporting heroin and cocaine are to be widened with the support of INTERPOL.
