The Criminal Investigation Department today questioned the second son of former president Mahinda Rajapaksa for about 3 hours.

Yoshitha Rajapaksa arrived at CID at 10.15am and came out of the premises at around 1.15pm.

He was accompanied by former president Mahinda Rajapaksa, MP Namal Rajapaksa and several MPs of the Joint Opposition.

Yoshitha said he was questioned with regard to a defender jeep donated to Siriliya Foundation.

CID recorded a statement from former first lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa yesterday with regard to the same investigation.
