Dengue+closes+Science+Faculty+of+Jaffna+University

Authorities have decided to close the Science Faculty of the University of Jaffna after one of its undergraduate died of dengue.

Nine other undergraduates are suffering from the disease.

When contacted, the Vice Chancellor of the Jaffna University told us because of the Science Faculty will be temporarily closed until 4th of September.

23-year-old Vijayarathnam Vindushan, who was a resident of Vavuniya, died last Sunday (20). He had been suffering from fever for three days. He was living in university's Kobdavil Hostel.

Thereafter, 9 more students from the Science Faculty had contacted dengue and they were later hospitalized.
