Thisara Perera hit an unbeaten 47 off just 19 balls with five sixes helped the World XI beat Pakistan by 7 wickets in their 2nd T/20 at Lahore.

Coming into bat, when the World side needed 63 off 5 overs, Perera displayed a level of clinical ruthlessness that Sri Lanka have lacked in recent times. It is Pakistan's first-ever T20I defeat on home soil.

Batting first, the home team totaled 174 for 6 with Babar Azam (45 off 38 balls) and Ahmed Shehzad (43 off 34 balls) making the major contributions.
Shoaib Malik hit 39 off 23 balls. In bowling, Perera bagged 2 for 23 in 3 overs.

In reply, the World XI reached the target off 19.5 overs. Hashim Amla also scored an unbeaten 72 off 55 balls.

Now the series decider will be played at Lahore on Friday.
