Jonny Bairstow hit his maiden ODI century (100 not out) and helped England crush West Indies by 7 wickets in their 1st ODI at Manchester.

This lost confirmed that Sri Lanka will get automatic qualification to 2019 Cricket World Cup in England while West Indies will have to progress through next year's qualifying tournament to reach the 2019 World Cup.

Batting first, the West Indies made only 204 for 9 in their allotted 42 overs. Jason Holder top scored with 41 not out.

In reply, the home team reached the target off 30.5 overs losing just 3 wickets.

Joe Root made 54.

The game was restricted to a 42-over match due to bad weather.
