Traffic+law+breakers+to+be+booked

A special programme will be launched from tomorrow (23) to identify drivers who break traffic laws in order to take legal actions against them.

Police said this programme will be implemented in the city of Colombo for few weeks starting from tomorrow.

According to this programme, the police officers in civvies will travel in vehicles covering different parts of the city, to identify traffic law violators.

Then the uniformed police officers will step into to book them.

The programme will be launched at 9.15am tomorrow in the Nelum Pokuna Junction, in Colombo.

Police said this is part of a programme to develop disciplined drivers.
