The Colombo High Court today (25) gave permission to son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, Yoshitha Rajapaksa to go to Italy for a period of two weeks from 28th of September to 12th of October.

Yoshitha has made a request from the court, through his lawyers, to permit him to go to Italy on a personal visit.

Then the High Court directed the authorities to inform the Kaduwela Magistrate about it and release the passport, temporarily.

The directive will also be informed to Controller of Immigration and Emigration as well to the Director of State Intelligence.

A case against Yoshitha Rajapaksa has been filed at the Kaduwela Magistrate Court, on his failure to reveal source of funding for CSN Channel.

Later, he was granted bail by Colombo High Court.
