The five persons who were arrested in connection with the disappearance of the 19-year-old mother of one and 2 other teenage girls in Salamulla , Kolonnawa, are scheduled to be produced before Colombo Hultsdorf Magistrate Court today (19).

Police also apprehended the person who had attempted to employ the 14-year-old girl, as a maid.

The individual was arrested at his residence in Ihala Yagoda in Gampaha.

The 14-year-old who was reported missing, surrendered to Police last afternoon.

The 19-year-old mother of one, as well as the 15-year-old girl, surrendered to Wellampitiya Police yesterday.

The trio was reported missing from last Saturday (14) after they had left homes saying that they are going to purchase clothes.

Police said that investigations carried out so far have revealed that they had been detained at a house in Gampaha to be employed as domestic servants.

The Wallampitiya Police also arrested two women, one was aged 84, for aiding and abetting the offence.

The alleged boyfriend of the 15-year-old girl and the 19-year-old young woman are also in Police custody.

However, when questioned by Police, the girls have told Police that they left for Gampaha as they were constantly harassed by their parents.

The two teenagers will also produce for a medical test.
