Department of Meteorology says the prevailing showery condition in the South-Western part of the country is expected to continue and fairly strong winds can be expected over the island tomorrow.

The possibility of the afternoon thundershowers is getting increase gradually by next Monday.

Showers or thundershowers at times are expected in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-Western and Southern provinces.

Heavy falls of about 75-100mm can be expected at some places.

Several spells of showers will occur in the Northern Province and in the Anuradhapura district.

Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places elsewhere after 2 pm.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers.

The general public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
