Initial investigations reveal that a dispute over a mobile phone was the reason for the suicide of the 10-year-old girl in Balangoda last evening (13).
 
She was a resident of Randola at Ellepola, Balangoda.
 
Police said that the girl was alone at home at the time of the tragedy.
 
Our correspondent stated that the victim’s mother had gone to work and her father had deserted the family some time ago.
 
Police believe that a dispute over a mobile phone led to this incident.
