It is reported that the Speaker of Parliament, Karu Jayasuriya is awaiting legal advice as to what should be done against the COPE Committee Members whose names were exposed at the Bond Commission inquiry.

Legal advice is sought as to whether phone conversations between certain COPE Committee members and Arjun Aloysius should be revealed.

Parliamentarians whose names were exposed have meanwhile told the Speaker that their privileges have been violated by their personal phone records been examined by investigating bodies.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe is due to appear before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry into the controversial bond issuance, tomorrow.
