Three parties representing the Tamil National Alliance have decided to contest together in the forthcoming local government election.

The Secretary of TELO, N. Srikanthan said that the decision was taken during a party leaders meeting among Ilankai Tamil Arasu Katchchi, TELO, and PLOTE.

The TNA in a media statement said that the constituent party leaders Mavai Senathirajah (ITAK), Selvam Adikkalanathan (TELO) and Dharmalingham Siddarththan (PLOTE) met with members of Parliament and party representatives today (09) and held discussion
regard to the forthcoming local government elections and resolved all issues pertaining to the said election.

They have decided that the nominations will be submitted in the name and the symbol (House) of the ITAK.
