Two UNP councillors resign from WPC

Two+UNP+councillors+resign+from+WPC
United National Party's Western Provincial Councillors, Prasanna Sampth and Royce Vijitha Fernando have submitted their resignation letters.
 
They handed over their resignation letters to WPC Chairman Sunil Wijeratne.
 
The duo has resigned to contest the forthcoming Local Government polls.
 
Meanwhile, the WPC Budget for 2018 was passed in the council with a majority of 75 votes.
 
80 councillors voted for it while 5 opposed.
 
Councillor Upali Kodikara abstained from voting while JVP councillors voted against.
