Railway TU's commence another strike

Railway+TU%27s+commence+another+strike
The Joint Alliance of the Railway Trade Unions comprising of trade unions which did not participate in the recent railway strike has commenced a strike action.

Meanwhile, Railway Operations Supervisory Union said that would re-commence their trade union action after the GCE (O/L) if the Cabinet Sub-Committee failed to solve their issues.
 
They ended the trade union action last morning (13) after having a discussion with the Cabinet Sub-Committee headed by Minister Dr. Sarath Amunugama.
 
They started their strike last week, urging the authorities to abolish the newly introduced mechanism to recruit assistant train engine drivers.
