Sri Lanka U-19 cricket team is now in New Zealand to attend the U-19 Cricket World Cup.

This tournament is regarded as the turning point for most of the young lads who are aspired to be leading performers in the international arena.

The Sri Lanka youth team members are also determined to do well.

However, sadly, despite having a well-paid staff, the SLC has failed to find a sponsor for the youth cricket team.

It was obvious that other teams have been able to attract globally renowned brands to sponsor their respective teams.

This shows the inability of the SLC sales and marketing staff.

Due to their failure to perform that the national cricket authority has lost an opportunity to earn a substantial income, in turn which they could have used for the development of the game in the country.

It is time to pay due attention to issues like of this nature!
