Uva Province Chief Minister Chamara Sampath Dassanayaka is preparing to take disciplinary action against the Principal who said she was froced to kneel before him.
 
Principal of the Badulla Tamil Girls' School R. Bawani explaining the issue to UNP Parliamentarian Wadivel Suresh said that she had to kneel down before the Chief Minister at his residence.
 
The incident had happened on the 3rd of this month and the Principal in question said that the Uva Province Education Secretary had also influenced her.
 
She said that an individual contesting the forthcoming election had presented a letter signed by the private secretary of the Chief Minister requesting a student to be enrolled to the school.
 
However, since the maximum number of students had been enrolled, she had refused the request.
 
Later the Principal was called to the Chief Minister’s residence and scolded her.
 
She said thereafter she was forced to kneel down and apologize.
