United Nations Human Rights Commissioner Zeid bin Ra’ad Zeid al-Hussein is scheduled to present a progress evaluation report on Sri Lanka on the steps taken for the protection of human rights.

A group of representatives from Sri Lanka will leave for Geneva to present facts as well.

The UN Human Rights Council passed a resolution regarding alleged violations of human rights during the war while the time period given to take certain steps regarding the matter was extended by 2 years last year.
