The Election Commission has requested that each party hand over the names of nominated councillors from the additional list, relating to LG authorities by next week.
A senior official from the Commission said that it is the responsibility of General Secretaries of the political Parties to ensure that the lists are submitted on time.
Under the new Local Government Election law, 25% of female representation is mandatory to establish an administration in any LG authority.
The political party leaders have agreed to adhere to the system where it is necessary.
It was revealed during a meeting between political party leaders and the Speaker which was held yesterday that in certain LG authorities it has become impossible right now ensure 25% female representation due to various issues.
