India extends $ 100mn for solar panel project

India has agreed to extend $ 100 million for a project to fix solar panels on the roofs of Sri Lanka low-income families.

Under this project, solar panels will be fixed to schools, hospitals and public institutions.

Indian High Commission in Sri Lanka announced that the decision to extend financial support for this project was taken after President Maithripala Sirisena attended the International Solar Alliance conference held in India.
