Matara Division's Crime Prevention Unit early this morning (Mar. 21) arrested a suspect on the exit at Matara, Godagama of the Southern Expressway.

Police have found 7g of heroin in his possession.

The 43-year-old suspect is a resident of Nandugala, Matara.

Investigations revealed that the suspect was distributing heroin in Matara after taking them from Kadawatha.

Police said that the suspect is an associate of underworld gangster 'Thudawe Sudda' who was jailed for life.
