Students remanded for promoting 'hate speech' via social media

Three school students who are accused of spreading hate speech via social media have been remanded until 5th of April.

The students who are from leading schools in Colombo were arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department recently.

They were produced before Colombo Chief Magistrate Lal Ranasinghe and the Magistrate ordered them to be sent to Makola Detention Centre for Children.
