Met Department says that a change in the prevailing dry weather can be expected from 25th March, particularly in the eastern parts of the island.

Mainly fair weather will prevail over most parts of the island.

However, Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Ratnapura, Kaluthara, Galle and Matara districts after 2 pm, it says.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces during the morning.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers.

General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
