The traffic on the Colombo - Hatton main road has affected due to a minor landslide in the Diyagala area in Ginigathhena.
 
Our correspondent said that the protective wall has also collapsed.
 
Meanwhile, the Disaster Management Center said that the water level in main rivers is rising as a result of the inclement weather.
 
Accordingly, people living in the low-lying areas close to Kalu, Gin, Nilwala rivers and Aththanagalu and Maa Oya are urged to be vigilant.
 
 
Meanwhile, Navy divers with the assistance of police have launched a search operation in Hiniduma after an individual was carried away by flash floods.
 
Police said that missing person had attempted to catch fish using a net when he was carried away by the force of the rising water.
 
The missing person was a resident of Habarakada.
 
Meanwhile, due to rising water level in the Kelani River, Hanwella - Nittambuwa road has inundated from Pugoda.
 
Our correspondent said the vehicular movement has affected as a result and the water level has risen up to 2 feet.
 
The Disaster Management Center said 17 houses in the Kandy area has damaged due to bad weather in the area.
