Water bowser hits A-320 Airbus at BIA, damages exceed Rs. 15mn

An extensive damage has been caused to a SriLanka Airlines' A-320 Airbus when a water bowser had collided with its tail last morning (May 26).

Our correspondent said that the flight had returned from Lahore and the estimated cost of the damage is around Rs. 15 million.

The authorities have called an inquiry and suspended the driver of the bowser.

When contacted, the Communications Manager of SriLankan Airlines, Deepal Perera said an investigation has been launched into the incident.
