Date fixed to hear Gotabhaya's appeal petition

Date+fixed+to+hear+Gotabhaya%27s+appeal+petition
Court of Appeal today (Jun 19) fixed the dates to hear an appeal petition filed by 8 accused including former Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa to acquit them from the Avant-Garde court case.
 
State Counsel representing the Attorney General's Department requested the court to fix a date to consider the petition.
 
Accordingly, justices Achala Singappuli and Arjun Obeysekera ordered to call the case again on 2nd of next month.
 
This case has been filed accusing them of incurring a loss of Rs. 11,400 million to the state by allowing to operate a floating armoury to Avant-Garde.
