Northern+fisheries+sector+gets+a+boost
Asian Development Bank has agreed to provide financial assistance to develop the infrastructure in the Northern fisheries sector.

For that, the ADB has committed $ 158 million.

Accordingly, plans are drawn to construct fisheries harbours in Point Pedro and Pesalai and in Mandathiv, an anchoring point for fishing vessels will be built.

The funds will also be used to renovate 17 fisheries anchoring points in Jaffna, Kilinochchi, and Mullaitivu.
