SriLankan Airlines agrees to settle $ 5mn to CPC

The national carrier, SriLankan Airlines has agreed to settle $ 5 million of the dues owed to the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation within next week.
 
An official at the CPC said based on that agreement that the CPC had agreed to continue uninterrupted fuel supply to the national carrier.
 
Up to now, the national carrier owes $ 87.5 million to the CPC.
 
The CPC chairman, Dammika Ranatunga recently said that if dues are not settled that the CPC is compelled to cease supply of fuel to the airline.
