Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa has sought a clarification from the government on the recent upward revision of fuel prices.
 
Issuing a statement, Mahinda Rajapaksa said that although government talks about a pricing formula to justify the price increase, nobody has seen such a formula.
 
The former President said that government is trying to generate a maximum revenue by fluctuating the fuel prices.
 
He also said it could be the first time that fuel prices were increased twice within two months.
