Railway Trade Unions say that their strike will continue for a fourth day today.
 
The Secretary of the locomotive engine drivers association Indika Dodangoda said that no trains will be run today.
 
The unannounced trade union action was launched by railway trade unions on Wednesday at 3 pm demanding their salary issue be rectified.
 
However, the Railways Department said that few trains will run today.
 
The train engine driver assistants' association convening a media briefing in Colombo yesterday said that if permission is given, they are able to run trains.
 
Meanwhile, addressing a media conference held yesterday, Finance Minister, Mangala Samaraweera reiterated that the strikers should call off the strike and come for talks.
